How Chips Ahoy! Used a Branded Kit to Celebrate Its Birthday

Chips Ahoy is joining other food brands by creating limited merchandise for the NTWRK platform, but doing things a little differently by piecing together a branded kit for its birthday celebration.

The Chips Ahoy! Happiest Party Kit container products like branded birthday candles, cookie-shaped confetti, a disposable camera, a wireless Bluetooth speaker with power bank feature, and a hoodie designed by streetwear designer Vandy The Pink.

“Chips Ahoy! was my go-to favorite chocolate chip cookie growing up, so when I was pitched the opportunity, I jumped for it,” Vandy The Pink said in a press release. “I wanted to help celebrate Chip’s birthday with a design that pays homage to their iconic logo and re-imagined cookie with a Vandy vibe. Going up with the concept was quite easy: I wasn’t after low-key. Because, who doesn’t love a massive chocolate chip cookie?”

It’s a valid question.

What makes this really stand out is that Chips Ahoy! went with the branded kit route rather than a drop featuring these items as standalone. Or, they could’ve just done the sweatshirt, but instead harnessed the power of the kit, which became all the more popular during the pandemic.

Chips Ahoy! also found a way to include its branding on every single piece, from the confetti to the disposable camera, creating an experience that immerses the end-user in the Chips Ahoy! logo and brand.

The kit will go up for sale on the NTWRK platform on April 7 for $60.
